Arrival reception is fine, room was only OK have stayed @ less up-market hotels and have had a much better room.If you get a room overlooking where the shops and restaurants are located ya better bring ear plugs.Food is only OK for the price.Old televisions where are the flat screens rooms are small again comparing other hotels in this price range. I've stayed 3 times here at the Gaylord - twice for conferences and once for vacation. Check-in is quick and easy, and express checkout is fantastic. The atrium is the best of the Gaylord chain - plenty to see and do, and you don't get lost as you do in Nashville. Restaurants are on the expensive side, but food is great and plentiful. Nightlife in the hotel is also plentiful - Augies, pool bars, Key West area all have bars and entertainment. There is a pool for adults only for those who want to avoid the noise or who want to lose their own kids. The place is huge, though, so you should make sure you know where your room is - especially if you are going to take advantage of the nightlife. Really close to WDW. Only downside for me is that guests have to pay to park.

After reading some of these reviews, I'm not sure if these people were staying at the same hotel. They definitely let you check out after 11, in fact, we checked out at 1:30pm with no additional charges. We were upgraded rooms at no charge. The room was immaculate. The computer workstation came in handy when looking up restaurants and things to do in the area. The atriums are amazingly set up and cleaned constantly. Each night they powerwashed all the walkways and fixtures. The only thing I didn't like was the self-parking fee. The lot is huge and there is nothing really immediately surrounding the hotel. I understand parking fees at hotels directly near Universal/Disney. The resort fee was not really that bad if you use the pools/hot tubs, etc.

Awesome hotel! We stayed here for a seminar and loved it. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a computer with free internet access. We were charged the daily room fee, but I knew that from the reviews. The hotel was huge with an amazing atrium. The boat restaurant had a cool atmosphere, but the food was poor and the buffet was okay, but very pricey, The sushi restaurant also had a good atmosphere, be we didn't eat there. We ended up getting Pizza Hut delivery one night and stored the leftovers in the mini-fridge. The only negative is that the hotel is in the middle of no-where, we didn't have a car so had to walk about 1 mile to the grocery store and other restaurants. Would stay here again!
