  When I was at this hotel I suffered an illness that was not related to my stay. The staff at the hotel worked diligently to find me an english speaking doctor and then one accompanied me to the hospital and stayed there while the medical professions diagnosed my illness which was a kidney stone. The person who accompanied me to the hospital returned with me to the hotel and refused to accept any money. He stated that this was his obligation to the customers of the hotel. He was with me for 8 hours in the hospital. If there is a higher rating than 5 smiles I would give it gladly. The rooms are clean and the chinese restaurant is beijing style food which is good. The location is good but you will not find the words Phoenix Grand Hotel on the outside of the hotel which is a little strange. Just have the address written in Chinese and you will easily find the hotel by taxi. It is about 90 rmb from the airport and located close to shopping and some good restaurants but you will need a taxi which is very reasonable. Hot water sometimes spurted very hot for a second or two so stay alert. The bank next door is also convenient for an ATM withdrawals.

  The hotel was in a great location and came with a super breakfast, both Chinese and American foods. It is about a 10 minute walk from the subway, and easy to get around town from there. The staff during the day speaks English and is very friendly. They will also help you call a cab. As with any Chinese hotel, the check out takes a while. I would stay here again!
