  I was surprized how reasonable the room rates were. We were staying at another hotel in Guangzhou and switched over to the Victory hotel when we found out the room rate. The front desk staff spoke excellent english, and were very helpful when we had some difficulty with our airline. There are english speaking staff on each floor which is also good. The staff is friendly. The hotel is condition is very good considering its age. The hotel has kept up with the maintenance which convince me to stay there and come back again on the next trip. There are other restaurants with in a few minutes walk from the hotel. So there is always a different dining experience everyday. There are a lot of historic buildings, parks, and trees in the area which makes for a very relaxing experience.
  There were a few travelers who were adopting children, and this hotel is great deal considering its location and price and atmosphere. The staff is also helpful in assisting the new parents and children with the difficult transistion.
  There is a business office which is well equiped. A lot better than other hotels that I have seen.
  The front of the hotel is easy to catch a taxi. They are either waiting there or are availiable with in a few minute wait. Considering how much people use taxis in china, it was nice not to have to compete with other people to catch a taxi.
  I highly recommend this hotel. And I will return there on my next trip which will be with in a month or so. I just enjoyed it so much on this last trip.

  Went to meet lady...was happy with staff. i kept adding days, they give me same internet discount each time,,helpful in all ways,,felt safe,,peaceful grounds, great lobby, ...
