  We loved our stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel very much. Registration was very helpful, all staff was polite and attentive. Our room was elegant, and had a warm feeling to it, the view was excellent. The king size bed was fine, except that the cover was very heavy, unlike other first class hotel that now have updated their bedding to lightweight down covers.

  This hotel was very nice, and is probably the best located and finest hotel in Monterey. Check is was smooth and easy. There is a $25 resort fee which includes parking, internet and phone. Valet parking when you arrive until you need your car. The spa facilities on the 5th floor were very nice. Bubbling warm water spas & as you look out over Monterey Bay. Lots of wildlife nearby in the bay. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. My room was on the fouth floor with a partial water view. For an extra $100, I was offered an ocean view, but since it was foggy, I declined. The hotel offers shuttle service in the surrounding area which I took advantage of. The rooms were very comfortable with exceptional beds, and robes to go to the spa areas. There was so much to do I didn't actually try the internet. The hotel has several different levels all providing views of Monterey Bay.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel!! We loved the staff they were very freindly and helpful, we loved the Spa, I espcially love the new cafe on the plaza level becuase of the views while I was drinking my coffe and because it was Petes coffee. We have stayed at the Plaza before and we appreciate that they are always making improvements, Flat screen tv's in our guest room and AIR CONDITIONING plus the new Cafe. Again we had a great stay and will be back!!!

  For the Plaza, I would have expected more consistency in service. Some nights the beds were turned down with orchids, some nights not at all. Some hotel cleaning staff did a thorough job making the room, others did not even replace glasses or robes. The ice maker on our floor did not work. And the hotel room was extremely noisy being out to the street (Cannery Row) - but since there was no A/C in the rooms, we had to keep the windows open anyway (which made it hard for our 14 months daughter to stay asleep).

  Rooms, beds, service location were superb. we would stay there again gladly. short walk to shopping, aquarium, dining anything.
